PREDICTIVE MAINTENANCE AND DIAGNOSTIC TESTING SERVICES

BOY IN FRONT OF POWER PLANT

Early detection of deteriorating machinery by AMES can improve efficiency and significantly reduce unscheduled and costly downtimes. Offering a comprehensive predictive maintenance program, AMES brings the most advanced technical approaches and methodologies necessary to achieve optimum reliability for operational effectiveness. AMES incorporates all aspects of maintenance into one study of the entire system based on Valve Diagnostics, Vibration Analysis, Oil Analysis, Electrical Testing, Infrared Thermal Imaging, and Physical Inspections. AMES offers services from acquisition, analysis and trending to satisfy an in place program or a "ground up" approach that includes development and implementation of a Predictive Maintenance Program. Using this "Predictive" approach will ensure a proactive instead of reactive stance to maintenance and operation.

AOV DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND EQUIPMENT

Control valves are the main means of controlling plant power generation and efficiency. Diagnostic analysis of these components quickly identifies degradation in valve condition and operation, which in turn provides gains in plant control and operation. Direct cost savings can be found in isolating and correcting leaking steam valves resulting in the recovery of lost megawatts and money. Additional cost savings can be realized in the justification of extending maintenance frequencies and focusing of troubleshooting efforts on the exact component causing a problem.

AMES provides trained and qualified technicians and analysts to perform all aspects of AOV diagnostic testing, data analysis, calibration and repair. Multiple examples are available documenting the recovery of Megawatts previously lost to improperly set control valves and the resolution of recurring problems.

MOV DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND EQUIPMENT

AMES supplies qualified Technicians and Analysts to perform all aspects of MOV diagnostic testing using any of the predominant diagnostic testing platforms and a variety of strain gauges used to measure both torque and thrust. AMES personnel have a long history of MOV diagnostic testing expertise including engineering services and the development of related patents. AMES technicians are experts at the installation of various strain gauges and at identifying MOV anomalies based on various trace characteristics. Additional capabilities include the performance of butterfly valve testing, calibration of diagnostic testing components, spring pack testing, and analysis of test data to determine acceptability. Support is also provided for motor diagnostic systems that allow monitoring of the MOV remotely from the MCC.
